Thought Leadership: Russ Johnson

SACOME hosted another successful Thought Leadership session on Wednesday 30 August at Piper Alderman. SACOME members heard from thought leader, Russ Johnson, on GIS deployment at Deep Water Horizon and the lessons learned from the 2010 oil spill. Russ is a Global Public Safety Advisor who lead the technical support team for the Deep Water Horizon oil rig clean-up mission.

A proposal to allow major electricity users to collectively negotiate long-term supply contracts in South Australia has taken a step forward, with the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) today granting interim authorisation and draft determination.

2017 SA Mines Emergency Response Competition

BHP Billiton Olympic Dam will host the 2017 SA Mines Emergency Response Competition on 5-7 May 2017. The 8th installment of the Competition will see six teams from across SA and NSW vie to be the top emergency response team.
